I was visiting the area and called into this friendly cafe for a breakfast and it was brilliant - it opens at 0830 It got busier as I arrived as I was the first customer - it is still central but down Cricklade Street and prefer not to use a chain It was nice to take my time to have breakfast after my swim and before getting the bus back home Keep up the good work
Fantastic breakfast, all piping hot. Perfect size. Lovely people.
I came here with a group of students on a school trip and it was lovely. They were very accommodating, even opening on a day they’d usually be closed so that we could come. All the drinks and food were lovely, and it gave a great opportunity for some of our International students to enjoy a very traditional English breakfast in a traditional cafe in a rural town. Lovely, thank you.
Lovely very clean cafe. The breakfast superb with perfect toast and not undercooked bacon like many other places. It has lots of different choices at varying prices.
Great breakfast. The food was hot, tasty and cooked to perfection. Had just done a workout and just had to enjoy a classic English. Looks like this cafe has been under new management and they are doing a good job. I think this is one of the last remaining ‘authentic’ British cafes of Cirencester. Keep up the good work and for those who want to visit, do the local businesses some justice.
I visited with my cousin from the States for a proper fry up. I think we were the first customers. We were greeted warmly and sat down immediately. The whole place was sparkling clean. The owners were lovely and entertained my 7 month old twins while we ate. The English Breakfasts were perfect, especially the bacon. I appreciated the lack of tomato as I don't like them but always eat them anyway because I hate food waste. I've lived in Cirencester for nearly 3 years and this was my first visit, but it won't be my last.
Great value Roast beef Hot drinks all very reasonably priced (2.20-2.80) Good range on offer, mostly variants of all day breakfast Friendly, smiley staff Smallish but very interesting beamed building
Looking for brunch in Cirencester and found this place on Google maps. Lovely friendly smiling lady welcomed us in. Got to be the cleanest place we been into, no marks or smudges on menus and tables all spotlessly clean. Had our coffee very quickly, and good coffee by the way. Our order a short time later we had Old Cafe Breakfast and an English Breakfast off the menu, freshly cooked. Very well presented and hot. The sausage and bacon where delicious. We also had an extra coffee and a milkshake. The menu isnt huge, but there is a good choice with vegetarian options, lunch, and light meals but is priced very reasonably. Definitely worth a revisit and a real friendly hidden gem in Cirencester. Thankyou The Old Cafe it was lovely meal.
